Thinking about sending my 60 to them for the headphone jack modification and internal zip.

What have your experiences been like with this company..?

Get them to fix the paint and armrest too!!!

I advise against internal zip, but I like having floppies as a backup in case of zip or swcsi failure.

They are top of the line pros, Bruce Forat worked for Roger Linn, there is no one better, but they are somewhat pricey. Talk to Bruce though, you never know what he might do.

Yeah, I was thinking about getting a paint job on it also.

The only issue is that it is dinged up pretty bad on the upper right hand side. A major dent or something.

Do they also fix backlights..? I looked extensively on their website but didn't see a mention of that.

From what you've heard from other owners, is an internal zip liable to end up causing more problems..?

No, I haven't heard of any specidic internal zip problems, but zip drives have had questionalble manufacturing on some runs, some work reliably, but many fail. If mine fails, I got my floppy to keep working, if the internal zip fails, you got to get a new one before you can mess with it.

I guess a back up external zip could be kept around if the internal fails. so if you really want it, do it, it really isn't such a big deal.

But also for transfer, sometimes floppies are enough, I like having more than one format available.

Having them touch up the paint or repaint it entirely is cool, they put all the words back and everything.

Yes they do it all, backlights, they may even be able to get those dents out or get you a new cover with the regular paint job. Not sure, email them or call, Bruce is really cool.
