2kxl-->60

anybody switch from a 2kxl to 60 and have to save all their sequences to midi files (smf) on zip then transfer them to 60... if so, how did everything work out... just wondering cuz im about to throw my 2kxl on ebay but i wanna make sure that this works with the 60 and zip drive... thanx

I haven't tried it yet. Mostly because I have a HD for my XL instead of Zip. Maybe if I get a zip for my 60/XL I'll try it out.

You also have to convert your sounds though I think. Unless you're going to sample everything again which is what I'd do.

well i use the asr for my sounds... 2kxl was used jsut for the sequencer so those are the only files i need to transfer

Everything but 16 level stuff tends to go well from what I heard, if you didn't use the 2kXL sampler, you should be fine. You can always dump thee files to a soft sequencer for back up in case the transfer is weird.
