Hey whats up every1
Well this past week I went to a vintae music shop, and got to play around with the 60 and SP-1200.I was BLOWN away by the sound of both. It's something that can't be acheived with my current setup.Bitcrushing plugins and lowering sample rates only **** up the sound I think.
NOW...
Both units go for about 750-1000$ , and have unneccesary features I do not need.I just want the sound.
I've heard the Akai S950 is the MPC60 without the sequencer and pads-just the sampler. Is this true?Same sampling engine, circuitry, and A/D D/A converters?I heard Roger Linn made the MPC 60 so it added high frequency going in but detracted high frequency going out, so it could have its own sound ,not like the Akai S950.Is this true? How would this make the sound different when its eseentially doing nothing?
Are there any e-mu units with the sound of the sp-1200?
