My SP 12 TURBO

F*ck, I've been thinking my sp12 was f*cked up or somn cause the sound was coming out only on one side. Well, I decided to plug my sp12 into one of the outs in the back of my newley aquired tascam 244 tape recorder. Well, The sp12 was coming thru on both sides of them dope ass VU meters. So, ITS ON!!!!!!!!!!!. I am going to do some drums in the sp12, then maybe record it into the 303 or the 60. Havent decided.

Later y'all, right now Im recording "THE LOST TAPES" by LOOTPACK from the vinyl to the tape, then to cd so I can hear that shyt in my truck. I want to get an idea on how my tascam 244 records, cause so far I think it has a dope sound with them eq's n shyt.

the 244 is dope, i almost bought one for $100 but i already have the 488. its tight though, i like that frequency knob for the EQ, you gotta get creative with it. that thing is also built like a tank too. i dont do the whole midi thing usually but, ive recorded drum loops i made with my sp1200 into other gear and then looped them, shit was cool

I think you should get another midi cable and sequence the SP-12 with the 60 or slave it to the 60's clock so you can sequence them together. Yeah, drums would be dope, but also get to know the sound of the SP's sampler so when you come across a sample you will know which sampler's "color" will suit it best. You have a lot of deep rewarding gear andreas, have fun learning it. Oh yeah, and sampling drums into the Sp, then sampling from the SP to the 60 is great too, especially for storage so you don't have to use disks on the SP, just store them on the 60, I'm doing that with my friend's linn 9000, and it's really dope.

don't let the sp12 turbo go to waste by sampling it into a mpc-60....unless you have no other choice.....the 5.25 floppy is ass....only takes about 12 minutes to save a drum kit.....not too bad if you got the time. Definitely MIDI the sp-12 up to the 60.....Roger didn't give you 4 MIDI outputs for nothing.

the lootpack lost tapes album sounds like garbage.....quality wise....the beats are dope as fuk.....but damn a lot of them needed to be RE-EQd.....a few tracks I had to brighten up in my whip just so I can hear wht the heck them oxnard kats were sayin'......GOD'S GIFT IS STILL FUKKIN DOPE AS HELL!!! I would do an entire album with that kat....him and Dr. OOp.
