MPC 3000 file folder question

im converting everything over from the 2000xl to the 3000, does the 3000 allow for file folders to be used? if not does that mean my entire disk will be in 1 file? what do I do about files that share the same name?

Current revision OS versions for MPC3000/MPC60 machines do not support folders on disk.

Minimum PARTition size on disk = 4 megabytes.
Maximum PARTition size on disk = 29 megabytes.
Maximum PARTitions on disk = 26 ( A-Z )
Maximum SIZE of disk usage = 780 megabytes.
Maximum number of files per PARTITION = 512

If your different files sharing an identical name are also the exact/same sound then you will experience no problem.

so that means if 2 different sounds with the same file name will have to be renamed? also how do I set up partitions with the 3000 with a zip disk?

Partitions counts are prompted on screen and then created per your input on the partitioning display during format of a SCSI disk.

Yes different sounds with the same name should be renamed.
