Disk Error!

If my 2 scsi drives are used with multiple beat machines but every time I use my mpc3000 and save anything to Zip PartitionA using either drive and multiple diferent zip disks then load it again I get an ERROR message saying that this file is currupt and is should save any other good files to disk and discard the one I'm using, what might the problem be? Its only doing this when I use my mpc3000. Thanks so much

Nah man, you gotta use a dedicated scsi drive for each sampler, they have format and access info, some samplers can share scsi devices but do yourself a favor and just use separate drives for each.

I didn't mean I use it for both machines at the same time. I meant that when I remove the drive and use it for my other beat machine its fine. See, I originaly got it strictly for my mpc3000 and it was giving me that issue. So I tested it out on my other machines and it was all good. So I'm wondering what the issue might be?? Thanks again.

If you didn't power both down before removing the scsi cable you could have messed something up. Maybe not though.

Possibly. But I have a few zip drives and the mpc3000 is doing it with all of them. I'm thinking of checking it into a place but I don't even know where the problem is coming from haha. Hmm, I'll have to get into my manual. But thanks for the info!.

Maybe format a new disk a couple of times and then try it?

I formated 4 of them haha. I'm going to check if the cable is a possibility. When I use the drives with the mpc3000 I have to use switch the cable to an ultra scsi (back of the drive) to a 25pin (back of the mpc3000) so I'm guessing its the cable that I switch because its old. If that doesn't work then I'll be back asking a bunch more questions lol. Thanks!
