my mpc 60 doesnt record any bass. what can i do? is my mpc damaged?

i have a mpc 60 and a mpc 2000xl.
for instance i want to record a bassline. my mpc 2000xl records the whole sound and my mpc 60 only records high and mid frequences (i can hardly hear the bass)

How are you connecting them? If you are splitting the source signal, try running the signal only to the 60, also, try to hear it out of the individual outs and see if it sounds the same.
