Using a Footpedal with the MPC 60

I was wondering what kind of footpedal I can use with the 60 to trigger single drum hits or samples? can you get velocity sensitive ones? i.e. the harder I hit the pedal the louder the sound etc. any using pedals at the mo?

I don't know if its different for the other OS' but for 3.1 its just for the recording/location controls.

you can trigger sounds from the footpedal but you have to chose one sound and the 60 goes into a special mode where that's all it does, play one sound, no seq no nothing else.

the other route would be a midi foot pedal or midi bass pedals like an organ has if you want to use your feet.

I bet that'd cost a bit! So your're saying I can't really do much with it then? Is it the same for the 2KXL anyone know?

Is there a smaller one in that range with less pedals? I've found a few other boss/rolan pedals but I can't tell if they're the right spec

that doesnt make sense at all...heres a better idea....you get a midi totrigger box (akai me35...i think) then any input you bring in...foot pedal...pad anything...will actas a trigger for whatever you want....pretty snazzy stuff right there....cost effective too!

the XL doesn't have pedal inputs, so no luck there either. Powercord's right tho, you could just use a trigger to midi box and set up multiple footpedals and have those triggers converter to midi. Either option isn;t cheap if you want to do it right.

i have a simmons PortaKit, that has no relation to a portapotty...the thing is great...and thank you for the correction ed >:)....another very slept on option is the alesis d4 that not only has great sounds...it also has trigger inputs and midi...so you could use it just as a trigger box...very cool...people could save big bux if they got this insted of those fancy roland drum kits.the cheapest option is still that akai box and some foot pedals...i have a foot pedal and that akai box id sell pretty cheap...i was using the akai on a drum set with mics hooked up...for tracking live drums on midi

also using a organ pedal board would suck for drums...the pedals are too close together and sensitive...hes a drummer not an organist

basically yeah, but I don't want to go all Roland TDK on that ass! I just want to be able to trigger drum sounds with the foot pedals as well as triggering some with my hands!
