To all MPC60 users with 3.10 operating systems installed.

Preliminary tests of a freshly patched/re-built MIDIFILE converter tool are promising.

Full boot and function on all test machines so far. :D

The fixed version will in due course be supplied to Roger Linn Design.

In the mean time.

Watch this space.

Respect, regards ... peace.

PS: Supreme test crew ... big up to you !

Rohan.

I would like to thank:

ELMACACO, 2WICE, NTALEC and BIGNINO for testing the repaired version of the MIDI FILE CONVERTER TOOL I put together at the beginning of August 2005.

Word up team !

Now ...

Roger Linn Design have tested the file also and have replaced the damaged utility on their web site with the new version.

From their web site:

MIDI File Conversion Utility for the MPC60

Have you lost the MIDI File Conversion Utility Disk included with version 3.10? If so, you can download it here.

NOTE: As of 8/10/05, our good Rohan Mansell of Australia found a problem in the file we previously had here and made this corrected version:

http://www.rogerlinndesign.com/downloads/MPC60MFC.zip

On Windows, uncompress the downloaded file using WinZip from www.winzip.com. On Mac, uncompress using Stuffit Expander, included in Mac OS.

Format a floppy to 720k in a Windows or Mac computer. (Don't use 1.4 meg.) Copy this file to the 720k disk.

Insert the disk in your MPC60's drive and turn power on. After about 20 seconds, instructions will appear on the screen to guide you through the process of converting your MIDI or SEQ file.

Cheers all ...

NJOI !!!
