i just wanted to know guys where are yall getting your mpc 3000's from... also is ebay reliable in terms of people selling 3000's in decent condition??

Ebay is fine for buying old gear like the 3000. Just make sure you check out the seller to make sure that they are reputable. Check their feedback.

Also, check your local classified ads. They'll pop up there now and then there as well.

I got mine on ebay "absolute mint" and when i got it 3 buttons on it were broke, just make she they have good feedback and ask some questions, the only good price you can get a 3000 for is on ebay, on-line stores try to sell them for $2000-$2500

appreciate the responses, by the way bassline, how much did you pay for yours, and was it easy to fix those broken buttons..... how satisfied were you with the 3000?

Naw, no 3000 here just a 60. But it was in great condition considering its age.

The buttons are fairly easy to fix. The plastic caps snap right in and the contact switch underneath is easy to solder. Taking the box apart can be a pain in the ass tho.

Including everything I added on, it came out to $2000. Its an LE so it coasts a little more anyway, got the buttons fixed for the coast of the labor added a internal zip, got new pads. after reading the manual and getting help from people on here it was worth it. i sold my MV-8000 and my MPC 1000 because nether sound as good or are as easy to use once I learned the basics. i'd say $1500- $1700 for a non-LE is a good price depending on the condition. My song "pole position" on my sig was made on just the 3000.

try craigslist.org and search under your city for used gear in the music instr. section.

"mpc 3000"

you can find a grip of gear on craigslist. it's different from ebay in that most sellers require pick up rather than shipping (since it's loca). but you might find someone in another city who's willing to ship. just look around. i've seen decent ones go for $1,300 on there. i think they were stock. maybe memory expansion.

good luck!
