I just heard that Roger Linn was still being paid by Akai for the MPC concept but since Numark has taken over they stopped his royalty payments and all communication.
Shame on Numark, i bet some of those f-cks don't even know who he is.

Feel free to download this pic and email it to Akai/Numark

yeah, too bad for them. i saw a vid of Mr. Linn, talking about his new company "Roger Linn Design" and deal with m-audio. his new adrenalinn is doing good and his design of the black box with m-audio is a good seller too. so even if akai stopped paying him, he's still making that paper.

go to the "off topic" threads, i posted a link to interviews of Roger Linn

Where did you hear this? if they were still paying it was either by agreement or by law. they couldn;t just stop.

I like the pic, but 20 pads? nah nah nah. I do hope linn makes another drum machine eventually.

That's also what i would think but apparently Numark thinks different... I got the info from a very reliable source, if you know what i mean.

The same source told me there are plans with M-Audio to make a drum machine product at some point. Nothing definite yet.

so far he only has the Black Box with m-audio. he has a contract with them to design several more products. let's hop he doesn't make anything with m-audio to rival the mpc
