most legible screen color

Should i go with blue or white for my MPC3K which has faded somewhat . Which one would be most legible and which would look the best? Also best place to buy would be appreciated.

the whites better, it will still look kinda blue because the ink is. the white is more legible. I heard its hard to install on the 3000, but i'm not totally sure. check vst, they have good prices.

Any after market back light not provided by AKAI seems to be pretty good when compared with the factory supplied part ...

I still haven't spent much time with the 950, since I don't have a mixer yet and my 60 is hooked up to the monitors. But it's really cause I don't feel comfortable on it yet and I forgot everything you told me. I posted a question on the yahoo forums but I got no answer.

When I get my sample in there, I have to assign it to a keygroup right? This is what I don't understand, 2 samples are a keygroup, but I can put like 36 samples in a program. I have to copy the initial "TONE" program and rename it, then assign all the following samples to that program. Then go and change the midi numbers somewhere to correspond with where I want them in the 60? Arghhh it's a headache really, I need someone to hold my hand through this thing (no homo)

for me, the white foils offer the highest visibility.

plug the 950 output into your echo return jeck on the 60 and the 950 will come out the 60 main outputs.

I actually learned that from this board I forgot who told us, but it was great to find out the 60 had an audio pass through input. just cuz it's labeled echo return doesn't mean you have to use it that way. old gear is good like that.

yeah, that echo return is a function i've been missing on the 3k,

BTW, I like the white screen on my 60 it appears to be the most legible, not sure how they look on a 3000 though.

I thought dude was using the sample monitor input for the pass through, it threw me for a loop when he said the echo return!!

Funny thing is the linn 9000 had two inputs for external gear and they could be controlled with the internal mixer and had 2 sliders on the panel for level. I see a clear inheritance there but combining it with another feature.

Who installs different color LCDs for the MPC..I been looking for that for a minute!!
