60 & compact flash card

is it possible to connect compact flash card reader to MPC-60 :?

On the fareala tho... many cats have inquired about this but I don't think anyone has been successful on an MPC 60. They got pics of an internal 1 on an MPC 3000 on MPC3000.com. I think that's the closest we're gonna get. So 2 answer the question - not likely. Don't trip, it's on my 60 wishlist 2 dawg. -uno-

An external SCSI flash card reader:

Hanging from MPC-60 external SCSI port:

ADTRON http://www.adtron.com/products/Aspc.html

Mounted within the MPC-60 ...

ADTRON http://www.adtron.com/products/Sdds.html

Note though that these units are SINGLE SCSI ID / MULTIPLE LUN types.

So the MPC-60 will see only one slot of the drive.

Not a problem if you're using a 512 meg FLASH card :-)

Other solutions from companies like MICROTECH may be floating around in surplus warehouses and such.

The MICROTECH models often have two slots addressed by seperate SCSI ID numbers.

So the MPC can see both slots.

Yes... somebody please do it. That would give me the impetus I need 2 cop the SCSI if I knew I could use the card reader. See Rohan this is y u need 2 own a 60... u got my hopes up now. Testers, Stand up :lol: ! -uno-

Huh? Rohan needs to spend 800 USD on a MPC60 so he can tell you if a 20 USD card reader works with it?

Strange logic. I know many people that use card readers with the MPC-60, you just have to check more technical places (which is not here).

Tried on a friends with some good results hence sharing them here.

The ADTRON stuff and MCL products are expensive.

The MICROTECH stuff is, for the moment affordable.

As for $800 USD or there about for an MPC60 ...

Oh for the cash ...
