MPC 3000 Buttons, etc.. not working

Hello,

I turned on my MPC 3000 2day, and none of the buttons worked! also the data wheel and slider doesnt work either..but It powers up with the basic LCD reading out fine..(thought it might be the power supply)

Any body ever had this happen to them..IF so, what could the cause be, and how much to repair?

try reseating the ribbon connectors. Does it boot up fine and get to the main screen? If not, it is probably the power supply.

Where are the ribbon connectors?...Yes, it does boot up fine and i do get the main screen...Just the data wheel, slider, buttons(all, including function below lcd)..Now that I think about it..I wonder if the pads are working?

But I cant even load a disk because those bottons dont work..

you gotta tun it off, open it up, and reseat the ribbon connectors. if you don;t know what that means you may want to find someone who does to help you.
