Turned on the 60 for the 1st time in 7 months.

Been teaching 7th graders and trying to finish up my degree for the lasst 7 months. Needed some downtime last night so the 60 got used for the 1st time in a long 7 months. Just chopped some drums from Joe Tex and Tina Turner, found two samples and ran the stereo outs into a Tascam 4 track. Sounds pretty decent unmixed.

damn, I didn't realize how crazy off those drums are at the ending sequence, the sequence don't even sound like that in on my 4 track. Any possibility that they got f'd during the mp3 conversion? Going to have to go back and rework those.

I liked the idea but like you said the drums got off toward the end.

yeah, I ain't that rusty. Something happened to the conversion b/c they sound aight on my tapes. I was planning to add some things anyway so the ending will just get scrapped for something else. Forgot how much fun it was to mess around with just the 60 and a 4track though...makes me think twice about having a room full of gear.

Theres def something to be said for simplicity but you got some classic pieces even if you don't use em for every track.

Word, that shit would be crazy dope if the drums were synced properly. Seems like they're racing out of control and leaving the melody behind.

they sound good. i guess 7 months without ya music helps the creative jucies flow.good for you. you have a whole month in front of you now to just focus on your music. i bet you'll churn out some good stuff. good for you.
