Using Midi w/ 2 or more external units

So I was wondering how to hook up more than one source to my 60

I've already got the S950 going strong, but I'd like to use the SP505 as well since it has effects

Midi out 1 to Midi in of S950 works fine
Midi out 2 to Midi in of SP-505 not so fine

In the MPC on the seperate track I changed the channel to Midi 2

in the midi options on the 505, I set everything to CH2, program change on, and Sync mode is set to Midi (out of options midi, int, remote, auto)

still nothing, lemme know how to do this if you can shed some light into the darkness

It's output B, so midi 1B if you're using the second output. midi has 16 channels.

You got a pass on this one, this is basic midi stuff.
