Hey Guys,
Well, after days of reading through about abillion posts on this forum. I wanted to introduce myself as a new MPC User. I live in Switzerland, and was lucky enough to get the 60 for my Birthday from my girlfreind. (I asked for it). So i ended up with a 60 in EXCELLENT condition for 80$. But its only on version 2.02 i think, with no Ram upgrade etc etc. I have been trying to find ways in which i can include it into my setup.
I just got a MPC 1000 a little while ago. And when the 60 came up, i had to snatch it up for that price. Well, needless to say im broke right now so im waiting for the end of the month so January i can shop for a Mixer.
Well, as of now, im trying to hunt down DD floppys! Damn those things are hard to come buy. Havent found anything until now! Im going to wait on the OS upgrade. Ill most likely have to wait till February until i can afford to order that. And the SCSI upgrade i can forget. Thats to much money for me at the moment.
Right now, i want to setup up the Motif, the 1000 and the 60 together somehow. Dont know if this is possible. So at this point, there is a whole bunch of equipment in my room, and im trying to figure out how best to work with it all so that i have a clean simple workflow. Before I just played stuff on the Motif and recorded into Logic Express.
Basically i just wanted to say that this recource is awesome for a newbie 60 user. Im hoping that i can grow into using it. So far, i tried sampling and its pretty obvious that the New Os is a must.
