Guys:
I'm curious to know if it is possible to continually overwrite the notes being played within a single sequence. In other words, I would first play out one sequence in real-time. The sequence continues to loop infinitely until i'm satisfied with the track, and while programming with no quantize, it's overlapping drum sounds over one other. Then it ends up sounding really jumbled and chaotic during playback and this is what I don't want.
I seem to recall that the 2000xl had a feature where you can continue to overwrite the sequence until you're satisfied and it wouldn't overlap notes but replace the notes, but maybe i'm confused.
I guess what i'm asking is, if it's possible to replace notes everytime it loops back around from bar 1 to 4, instead of having it adding notes over each other. Can I set up the sequence to record in this manner?
Thanks so much for your help.
I apologize if you can't understand my question...I'm very sick with the flu and am not thinking with a clear mind.

THANKS SO MUCH!!
