Anyone else feel this way? lol i just got reconnected wit an mpc3000 through a ridiculously good ebay deal(i don't know why such a good deal all it was missing was a knob cap?:-))

but I'm still finding it the best out there in terms of the sampling drum machines.

Just sold my sp1200 in favor of finding a forat9000, now i'm not certain whether to sell my forat9000 cuz of the mpc3000:-)

but after all of em i do believe the mpc3000 is def. the illest.

i've not owned an mpc2500 or 4000 tho. or the rsf one, or rz1...or ddd-1?

of the shit i've owned, mpc60, mpc2kxl, 2k, 1k, forat9000, studio 440, sp1200, sp12t .

i' d definately have to say this one is the most enjoyable to use, well the forat is a little more even less menufied, but too buggy, and annoying to load programs...

All good machines, but i don;t think I would have sold the SP, the forat 9000 is ill, but the SP is such a fun machine.

I think the 3000 OS is probably one of the best ever designed, but the panel of the 60 is where it really shines. Feature wise the 3000 may fit other's needs more, I still think it's a major contender since it does everything it does really well and doesn;t get in your way.

i need to find a good deal on a 3k..

who wants to buy a 60mk1 3.1 and s950 combo? i gotta get my cash right and get the update.. the extra mem, zip, filter, and delay are all good reasons to deal w/ the button being laid out a bit different than the 60. i just cant get into the midi rack thing, im too ADD for that, i need one box. i try to do the rack thing ive had several midi setups but it never REALLY get used the way i wish they would...the 3k seems like my next buy....

the sp1200 is fun, but the sound is too soft for me. I like the harder sound. eh i kinda miss my sp1200, kinda really dont lol...i don't miss loading off the floppy fo sho. editing samples is a bit more enjoyable though.

the forat is probably gunna go though now with the 3000 i really don't see a need for it. I've dealt with the lo fi sound long enough to know it gets boring lol. There isn't too mcuh variation ithin it. although if u want the prince snare there's only 1 way yer gunna get it! purple rainn! that snare! hahha:-D

I use a 3000 and SP often together.. The 3000 is overall a more powerful machine (e.g . best-in class sequencer, resonant filter, delay line etc...) but in terms of sound variation, I don't really ever tire of the SP detuning and decay. I'm a bit dated in what I like sonically, but I wouldn't trade the SP for anything. I chose my set-up assuming that the SP and 3000 would compliment each other; I think that's pretty true overall.
