getting sound out of 3000

I just pick up a 3000 for $600 thought i had got a steal now i'm starting to second guess. I followed the manual and nothing. heres my problem i sampled a sound into the 3000 and i can play it with the play button in the program screen but if i assign it to a pad and try and play it there is no sound. and the disks that come with it won't load say's loading error. if there is a problem who can fix it and what's a guesstimate price on repairs? HELP don't want a good deal go to sh!t.

Might want to check if the pads got disconnected or some shit on the inside.

yeah, don't be afraid to open that shit up, and check everything out

you got about 400 dollars to spend in repairs before that good deal turns into a fair deal

press midi, then 2. check if local is set to off. if it is change it to on.
otherwise, do what they said and check for loosened ribbon cables
