I just won the Akai IB-105 expansion board on ebay. Cant wait to mess with it.

I have a question though....I know its a CD/DAT/Digital interface board, and also has a slot for an ATARI HD.

However this says it ALSO has SCSI access. http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:JjnX ... b105&hl=en

Yet this says the IB109 has SCSI access, but the IB105 doesnt.

Which one is correct? I already like the idea of digital transfer of samples to the 950, but SCSI would be a nice bonus. Which one is correct?

The person probably is just mistaken. I searched a lot before I got the one from you trying to find SCSI and I'm pretty sure only the IB109 has it.

the atari drive is actually a scsi format, I think, but they're exclusive to each other. maybe a proprietary scsi format of some sort.

hds that work with IB-105...

SH-204, SH205, and SUPRA models... all are 20 or 40 mb hds, and are ATARI PART NUMBERS... i found my SH204 with an ATARI 1040 ST computer from 1986...

I got a 950 with the IB-109 card, digital in/out and SCSI. Don't even use it and whenever I tried, I had trouble making it recognize the SCSI Zip but the digital in did work. Doesn't really change anything though, the floppy drive is so fast that you don't need the expansion.

285.00? Wow! Damn DFACE - It looks like you're paying me more than 200 for that SCSI. Hahahah.

I too have the SCSI, digital i/0 expansion, and maxed RAM. Looks like our s950's are worth far more than we expected, eyy SLT?

right on boy.

I got one S950 with maxed ram and the IB cards and then another without the cards but its got extra memory.

None of that long sample time, scsi and digital in/out ever gets used like it should but about 1 1/2 year ago I sold a S950 for $450 dollars and it had double memory. I wonder what I could get for one now that everyone wants one? I picked up my 2nd one for the SP ( got tired of unhooking cables, patchbays amd midi cables to use them together), locally last week for $125 but I had to play the muffin head role to get it...felt kinda weak cuz I played myself to get a good deal.
