I was wondering if the 3000 can read wav files loaded from a zip disk?
Thanks for your help.

No. It can't, but if you use a Mac or PC you can send AIFF or WAV sound files back and forth from the MPC to the computer via Zip with MPC Editor or MPCMGM Maker software. Check them out. There should be links to both here. Do a search.

Peace.

Depending on your PC's OS, you can use my free sndwav program to convert wav to snd for the MPC3000 (www.mpc3000.com). It works under every Windows OS, but XP will not mount an MPC3000 Zip. There are several work arounds. Ask and I can explain if needed.

greetings mpc3000,

i just acquired an mpc 3000 (will be receiving it on mon or tue) and need your wav file conversion program....the problem is that my computer (a vaio notebook) is windows XP (i already asked someone if i could switch my OS to windows 98, but my buddy who's a computer expert said that would be a really problematic procedure and recommended against taking such measures).

can you explain the work around you mentioned in your previous post? oh yeah, i am very computer illiterate (but am catching on) so i might be a little slow and might need extra help....thank you in advance
