controlling gear with the pads

Hi fellas. The MPC60 sends midi note on/off right?
It is possible to control external gear with the pads from the 60, correct?

I suspect that most headz on this board have 4gotten the OS2. If I remember correctly, I used 2 set the midi instrument (keyboard, module, etc) 2 the internal drum channel on the MPC. I believe the default is 16. Then u set the module/keyboard/computer 2 transmit on channel 16 (or whatever u set as the internal drum channel on the MPC). Hope that's waht u wanted 2 know.
