"Auto Loading files on Power-Up"
If a disk is in the drive when power is turned on, the MPC3000 will load
from the disk the first APS (all programs and sounds) file that it finds,
including all sound files used by the APS file.
If more than one APS file exists on the disk, the first one found will be
loaded.
If no APS files exist on the disk, up to 24 PGM (program) files will then
be loaded into consecutive program numbers (including all sound files
used by the PGM files).
Next, the first ALL file (all sequences and songs) that is found will be
loaded.
To cause specific programs, sounds, sequences, and songs to load
automatically when power is turned on, save a single APS file to a disk
that contains the desired programs and sounds, then save an ALL file
that contains the appropriate sequences and songs to the same disk.
Insert this disk in the drive and turn the power on—the APS and ALL files
will load automatically.
If you have a SCSI hard disk connected and no floppy disk is in the drive
when power is turned on, the MPC3000 will load the following files from
partition A of the hard disk in the fashion described above.
STARTUP.APS and STARTUP.ALL
