OnStage MIX400 or Quiklok 402 stand for the MPC 60?

I'm looking to get one of those stands so that the mpc 60 is angled up at me instead of lying flat on the platform in the photograph.


Are these types of stands the best thing for the 60 to rest on? If not what would you suggest? What platform is your 60 supported by?

I dont own a 60, but from comparing the two of these stands in the past, I would say the On-Stage Stands model is more sturdier. I own and have use both brands of keyboard stands, so I can honestly tell you from experience that On-Stage Stands are built much better than Quick Lok. Hope that helps.

btw, Guitar Center carries the Onstage MIX 400. So find your best deal online, print out the ad and have them pricematch it for you.

yeah even when you pricematch stuff I always haggle and ask if I can get it for like 10 or 5 dollars cheaper out the door and they have always said yes. I'm suprised to hear that the onstage mix400 is more sturdy then the quiklok. From what I had gathered quiklok made the best stands, but I suppose its not necessarily true. I just got off the phone with a salesperson at a music store and they told me they get the quiklok stuff from Italy and that the italian quiklok people are really slow and rude about getting orders out.

I have the quicklok one for my 3000, not the extra wide one tho. the regular size is fine.

i have the regs quicklok as well which i use for a 60mkII, no complaints at all. i like the angle adjustments settings.

it looks like it would function well in your setup.

Biggest differences I notice;
-the On Stage unit can be reduced to a smaller size than the QuikLok.... good if you have to move it or ship it at some point in time
-the On Stage center frame is different so if you go with it look where the neck and cross member come together to be sure it's square.... if it's not you will get a slight lean
-On Stage feet seem to roll better on various surfaces better
-On Stage is cheaper
-Quicklok has to models for the bigger MPC's doesn't matter with 2k/2.5k it does matter which you get

Overall quality of the two seems pretty equal so price usually decides
