Problem with my 3000

I picked up this 3000 on the cheap, but I'm not sure if its working right? I recorded some drums into it, but when I go to record the seg, it always displays this "MMC'record on'command sent" and thats it. It wont record. It says "record ready", everythings ready to go, and when i go to record, it just displays that message.
I downloaded the manual and followed the instruction and all, but I really think something is screwed up with it. mabye someone on here might be able to help? I am no expert on the 3000, never used one really, I just cleaned one up before and sold it, thats about all the 3000 time I've ever had. If anyone has seen this before let me know. Thanks

u can change settings on the settings page. it might be a **** battery that's not saving changesi f it keeps goin back...

It's not broken dude uits waiting for a MMC message to start the sequencer. Just turn off the MMC. Go into Midi and I think its one of the options in there.
