ok now i know there are a lot of links to purchase diff item s drives blah zay blah but are there any places to get the scsi for the 60II cheaper then $300
i mean im i catch the bus to work and still drink 40's
so im not exactly on baller status like the other big willy's out here

If you find one-let me know. That's the reason that a maxed out 60 goes for $900-$1000. I bought mine a few years ago before they became 'hot'. Totally maxed for $400.
Buy yourself a sh@tload of 720k DD/DS floppies and you don't need scsi. I just bought 400 for $65. Brand new and sealed.

here's another trick. wait on ebay for one with scsi, that's not advertised with so, but from a message with the seller it's got it. it'll sell for much less. then sell your current mpc, and get the scsif or free. or sometimes selle the mpc for more than u bought new mpc for ... heh...

Sometimes just the SCSI cards show up on ebay for less than $300.

ok well gues im just going to have to stock up on 720k's then

MPC60 scsi is gettin pretty rare... last i heard even ROGER LINN DESIGNS is out of stock on the 60 scsi upgrade!!! they may get more, but you never know when they are gonna be like "flowers it, it aint worth our time to stock this item anymore", its not like the price is gonna go down, i can tell you that they dont make much of an extreme profit on that part though... ill put it to you this way, THE VALUE OF THE DOLLAR WILL PROBABLY DROP FASTER THAN THE VALUE OF THE SCSI UPGRADE! as time goes on the SCSI upgrade and upgraded 60's in good condition will get rarer and rarer!


think of it as an investment, something worth saving for...

you may wanna check out [email protected], i think they stock a 60 SCSI upgrade whether its MARION SYSTEMS or not(soundlogic makes their own 3rd party stuff for hard to find pieces!), but im pretty sure it aint much cheaper than $300, i bet its like $290


SCSI on the 60 is definitely worth it though...


try to find an MPC60 for sale with version 2.14 installed, that is the ONLY version that SHIPPED with SCSI!!! if you get an uneducated seller you may get a great deal on one!

Yeah, your gonna be lookin for a long time if you're lookin for a cheap one. Them days is gone. I bought a couple of 60's back in '00 and '01. Both had OS 2.14 but neither one had an scsi. Are you sure that they shipped with scsi in 2.14. From what I understand> they shipped with scsi capability, but the actual interface was optional. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah man when I got my first Mk2 it was pretty good cosmetically but it didn't have any upgrades. It cost almost the same as the MPC to get the RAM and SCSI posted here from roger linn plus there was a big fat customs charge too facking b@st@rds

So how much do you guys value you fully maxed 60? $600, $800, $1000------------?

I think they're rising in price. i'd say about 900-1000 now...

I'd say in the UK the price is falling (gradually)
