Protools Help...

I'm having problems recording my beats into protools. I have an mpc60 and s950 going into the ins of the 1010lt. I did get the sequence to play following the instructions stated in the this thread:

But I can only get it to play in aux mode, when in audio I get no sound hence I havent figured out how to record my beats into protools. I dont ask for help much cause alot of sh1t is covered if you do a search. But I'm stuck right now. Thank you in advance.

I'm taking a wild guess as I not in front of my ProTools rig at the moment.

First of all check your input setting which I think you find under operations. If you have it set to Auto Input it will only play the MPC60 inputs if ProTools is not playing.

If you have it set to Input Only, you will hear the MPC regardless but won't see any readings on the mixer output meter.

What I do to get round this problem is to have my input set to Auto Input, put the mpc tracks in record standby, start recording using Apple + Spacebar and then set the correct levels. (Make sure you have a loop going).

Once all levels are correct I discard the take using Apple + Period and then re-record the mpc channels with the new levels.
