I've been hanging around the boards for some time now, learning from the wealth of experience. Can someone please post some commonly used conversions to obatin the original pitch from the record that was sampled.

For example, if a sampled into the MPC-60 at 45rpm +8, how many units would the sample need to be tuned down to recover the original pitch.

Thank you for your time and sorry for the novice question.

45+8 you have to down tune to 80ish semi tones from memory but I'd do it by ear son.....

Only trust your ears... some turntables actually hit those high 45 speeds a bit off, so you really can't come up with a formula thats allways reliable.

dunno about 45+8, but 45 rpm, tune it down 52.
