I hoping someone here can shed some light on sequencing live instruments (guitar,bass) with the mpc 3000. Has anyone ever done this??

No,this particular forum is SAD!! First the 12 bit only crowd ,now it's basically dead. Why am I not suprized :? :?


Anyway, instead of feeding the trolls, I had an Idea of using one these to record Bass and Guitar:

Um, midi is data, not sound. So recording live instruments through midi is like cooking a steak with nothing but an imaginary piece of meat and bunsen burner.

Thats a great box, but I would prefer using Ableton Live on Mac or PC. You will only be able to record short loops & the memory is limited. Nothing beats Ableton Live. Record live instruments and time stretch on the fly.

Don't get betta than that!
