noisy record in and messed stero out

Grrr i picked up a unmodded 60II for cheap but it volume knob is messed ..one side is not turned down by it .. and theres always a decent amoun of his from my stereo out ant the record in sounds bad quite noisy ..any body know what can be done to remedy these problems

Open it up, the volume knob probably just has a loose or broken connection. Make sure you're not sampling on HIGH, it will create some noise. If that does'nt help then try to define the noise better. Is the input jack loose? Does it sound digitally distorted?

the record issue has been solved ..my laptops powersupply needed its ground lifted ... and im about to open the mp and take a look at the volume knob ..im going to see if i can get a replacement pot
