Backlight replacement problem ?!

Hi , i replaced my old backlight by a new Akai part , but , it doesn't works well , i don't know why , problem is the same that before...
Moreover now , i lost two lines on the right of the backlight...
What can be the problem ?
Did somebody have this problem a day ?

The brightness issue may be a problem with the display backlight driver.

Missing lines could be due to an incorrectly mounted section of the displays connection points/lines.

I have seen this problem happen on a friends MPC3000. Replacing the aged backlight with a new one didn't solve the brightness problem.

Further investigation showed the backlight step up driver to be at fault.

Have seen this happen on an MPC60II also.

There is an inverter that converts some dc voltage to a high frequency AC for the backlight. You can check this with a meter to see if it is supplying the AC. If this is for a 3000 you can get the exact part from VST. If it is for a 60 you get the same part but you will have to rewire it since the footprint of the newer part will not match the 60 circuit board.

If this is for a 3000 you can get the exact part from VST.

Probably better to get the part directly from VST in the USA.

Yeah I think they run about $33 US from VST. You could get the part from another source but i do not have the part specs handy right now. I think the same inverter is also used in the S3000.

Ok , but on the online store , i don't see this part , have you got the reference of the part ? How do you have makes to order this part ? By mail ?

Well , i ask them about the inverter , they have it , price is 33$ , but they tell me shipping with tracking is usually about 60-70$...
They can send me the part by US mail but if it lost or damaged they
cannot replace it.
