Hi everbody,

I've been looking on Ebay for 3000s just to get an idea of an average price. Particularly for the LE. The few that I've seen have varied in price from $1200 up to $2200. I found Analog Japan and while all of thier units were really clean they were also priced at $2600 and up. So I guess my question to you 60/3000 heads is what is a fair price for an LE? How much is to much? From what I've gathered, $1500 is about average for a regular grey 3000. Correct me if I'm wrong, the LE and grey 3000 are the same machine save for the black casing?

Hi-
I have seen them go between $1100 and $1600 for the white version, and about $1800 for the LE (black case)...

The LE is the same machine, but it was limited edition with a really lame looking paint job (at least I think). I had a LE, but immediately sold it as the design was just ridiculous..There are these little musical notes all over it.. I bought it online and said " this black case looks pretty cool"..When it showed up I said "this looks ridiculous" and into the rubbish it went...

Best bet is to find a scratched up regular white version really cheap, then have Forat.com customize it for about $600 with any colour you want..

just bought one for $1600 (OG one not LE) from Nic at VST. Cleanest that I've ever seen not to mention it came from a VST employee so everything was checked beforehand. it came in the original akai box with shipping Japanese shipping labels still on it. i'm still in tripping on how mint it is. best purchase i've ever made.

That must be the one they had advertised on their site. I would have picked it up if I didin't purchase this other one. My unit just got the once over from VST. I have intentions on sending it to Forat soon. Maybe have him hooked it up in Black n Gold and a Pittsburgh Steeler's logo :D

yeah. it was actually nic's 3000 that he was selling not vst's. i lucked out because i think he told me about it before they put it on vst's "used gear page". he had one person before me flake on him and he was about to put it on craigslist.

Black n Gold sounds tight. post some pics if you do get it done.
