I'm new to the forum but have been using MPC's since the 2000 first came out. I'm on a 3000 now, but am having more trouble than I did with any other MPC interfacing with live on my powerbook. I'm not a total midiot
, but I wonder if I'm not using the right MIDI I/O and if anyone has any suggestions. I'm using a midisport 8x8 with a 1.5 ghz powerbook with Live 5, and I just have communication issues, like the mac registering MIDI signal from the 3k when nothing is happening, and weird MIDI drops in general. My software works together fine, and my hardware works together fine, but when I try to get them to work together is where I run into problems. I know a lot of you would say make a desicion between the two, but I like my mpc and would rather take it and the laptop out than racks of gear. Ideas and suggestions would be appreciated, either in the form of better hardware or even a MIDI app. word -[/img]
