"Akai MPC 60 with roger linn OS. I purchased on ebay Sept of this year. The unit worked fine. I also have a MPC 2500 and use that more often, and decided to sell the MPC 60. (I am using alot of virtual synths and may consider selling the MPC 2500 ... Inquiries are welcome)

I tested the unit. The screen lights ups but no text is present. I have no idea what is wrong with the unit but if someone is a tech or electronics hobbyist this would be a good unit to purchase.

When I had used the unit last all buttons, pads, knobs, outputs, etc worked flawlessly "

Im not enirely interested in the auction because I don't have funds for my MPC until February, but I was just curious to know if any of you MPC gurus knew what would be the possible cause or if theres a common cause for this?

this is a common and well documented fault. I believe one of my 60's has this fault and as far as I know its a simple case of reseating some connector(s)

It did it to me an a bad a** beat BOOM blank screen and then when I booted it up all %%&%&^**%***^ stuff like thaton the screen. Gave it a good whap and it is back to it's old self. That would explain the connectors issue.. Knowing it is common makes me feel better.... :)

It makes me feel better to abuse things. I guess I am a bad parent. I think I will make it up to my 60 by getting it a SCSI card for Christmas. It will just tell everyone it fell down the stairs.
