Damaged Mpc60/REc In

Hi folks!

Bought me a Mpc 60 on Ebay, and it came with a damaged Rec/In
....does someone of u know if there is any chance repair this Input or let it be repaired???

Damaged in what way?

Yes, I'd say it most probably can be repaired.

I tried to sample something today with Kaltschale's MPC.

Problem is:

When opening the sampling screen (sounds -> 5), the meter already shows a steady level of about 2/3 of the full scale... after you "tried" to sample the only sound you get is a popping noise. nothing else...

I've tried different cables, different threshhold settings, inputlvl settings etc etc... but not a minimal change happend...

always steady level at the sampling screen. always just a single popping noise after sampling.

never had a problem like that... (and trust me, I've had a few troubles with my mpc's...)

I'd be popping it open, checking and reseating all connectors, if that didn't help, it would be off to my closest MPC repair expert.

that's gon' be the next step and thing to do for the upcoming weekend. reseat all connectors...

too bad we don't have no technical support in austria for these mpcs... maybe there's a repairs handbook or something?

just curious as to what connectors you're referring to in this instance. ribbon connectors or something more?

I'd be checking any connector, anything that can move and that might not be making contact correctly.
