the 2.0 manual says it wasn't implemented/supported
at that time. i dont know about the 3.10e os though. its purpose or possible uses i am unsure of also. someone around these parts should know.

I think it mentions in the FAQ that it was going to be a VGA joint but was never implemented. That said though the S950 has one

I thought it was supposed to be a serial connection to a computer?

It was first used ( as the physical interface connector ) in the design lab as a means of communication between development computer and MPC60.

It was then intended to be for a VGA expansion where the RS232 port would be wired for a MAC DB25 video signal and connected to some thing like a IB-CRT option board.

It's final use of SCSI being the best for an end user in context of this machine.

So it isn“t possible to change this port instead SCSI into VGA output like the 3000 user???DIY or something like that? :shock:
