Thanks! It was in really poor condition and required a lot of work. I have actually painted the huge scratch of missing paint over the 16 pads and it´s even fresher now.
- Thorough cleaning and spraying of components to get tact switches to respond.
- Vailixi os with custom boot screen and serial
- New Rotary knob encoder
- New LED Backlight from mpc60mpc3000ledscreens2016 (no more whiny inverter!)
- Wood side panel kit from audiocustom.pl. Thanks Jakob!
- Button decals
Next: (to truly get OCD and get it done)
- button whitening
- waiting for the new vga out board
- and possibly getting a good cf/sd drive inernal or external.
We´ll see...
Here´s how it looks now:

Hello MPC community
I just bought mine MPC 3000 in great condition in Russia. The seller knows nothing about its story.
It comes in custom design made by Forat with black glossy front panel and original logo "THE TracKen PLACE"
I found the picture of it on Forat site http://www.forat.com/pictures/index.htm
Could you please help me identify the original owner of this mpc on the picture.
Help me to know its glorious story.
Thanks in advance. Much appreciate your attention here.
PS: I sent a letter to Bruce Forat and waiting for the answer. I'll let you know...
PPS: the little bytes of information on the web regarding "the tracken place" tell this:

So I keep a tiny hope that it could be owned by Babyface

Got the metronome fixed & also the right stereo channel. It came with 3.14b Os & memory expansion..but no SCSI.
I know this is a long shot, but...was there anything specific you did to get the metronome fixed?
Mine's silent on my MPC 60 II.
