Dear mpc forum. Does the 60 memory upgrade go bad? I had one in my 60ii since I've owned it and just last night the damn thing started to shut down on me in the midst of making beats. Up until that point I had never had a single problem w/this and I've made maybe 150 beats with it. Suddenly now it restarts itself every 30 minutes.
So I notice once it starts doing this that if I load a sound set then try to record more samples into it the samples that I had previously recorded would be glitched in with the new sample. It's sort of hard to explain but lets say I had a kick sampled into bass and I then I went to sample a horn riff, pieces of the horn riff would now be on the bass track along with the original sample. Every time I would sample something new another track would get glitched.
I figured something was wrong with the memory and took it out. Now my 60 works fine without any problems, it even seems like it goes between screens faster, though that could just be me.
Anyway has anyone heard anything like this happening before? Is this just a sign of more problems to come with the aging mpc? Any info would be appreciated.
