what have you found?
these are some i can remember at the moment..
1) in program-1, you can't layer pads, if they're set to mono
2) after sampling new sounds, the default name doesnt always increase in number.
3) after sampling, if i goto save or edit the file, then come back to the sampling page, the threshold is randomly changed. i always leave it at 0, but it changes to, 2, 3, 21, etc..
4) in the mixer automation page, the mpc does not remember the settings in par file. 3k does.

Good ones, I'll have to test them when I get in front of my mp later.

1. When assigning the drum mix to the 8-Outs you can change the level of the out for each individual pad, but it doesn't matter what level you put it at, they all come out at the same volume.

I seem to recall when I tried my 8 outs the things coming out of stereo would be out of synch with the individual outputs. Maybe not though.

how about when you're in sample edit mode and you make the bottom sample smaller than the top one, they both dissapear until you go back to the top one and edit it somehow....if that makes sense

I don't know if that's a bug though

When sending a track to a midi channel and the mode is DRUM on not MIDI, hitting any pads will make the mpc crash everytime — freeze.

Can u please confirm ya'll have this problem ? Im trying to trigger another sampler by hitting the pads of the mpc but not sure its actually the way to do it....

Just got a 3k

I tried to convert a 3.5 min song to a sequence and it didn't come out the same. Some steps seemed to double.. ?

When you overwrite an "*.ALL" File the new file is called "oldfilenameALL.ALL"

When copying and pasting timezones to new empty sample (0.1s) the sample you copy frome changes somehow when deleting something. The point is that the copies and the orignal arent independant from each other.

When setting a track to MIDI out 1 to controll my s950 to play drums, the internal sounds of these pads also get triggert, so when i overdub i hear too much.
I know there are settings and possibilities to get arround, but it is a pitty that you cannot just use the pads as controller without anything related to the other parts of the machine, or is this possible?

sometimes when i setup a pad to be controlled by the note variation slider and then set the note variation slider to another pad.

I dont have the 16 levels option "Tune" for the first pad anymore...

This thread was started in 2007, it's now 2012 and Linn isn't debugging anything about the V3 software anymore.

Just email them and see.
