SCSI problem ZIP100

I got my Iomega Zip Drive today (100) but the mpc3000 can't seem to find it. I have the adress set to auto and the timeout to something like 60... I can choose between scsi ID 5 and 6 on the back of my Zip Drive and I can also choose termination on or off (don't know what that mean though).
It seems no matter what I do I get this



The Zip drive make some noices when i press the "make active", but it always fails to find it....

Set the MPC to ID5 and set he SCSI Zip to 5 as well then try it with a MPC formatted Zip disc if that doesn't work then you have the wrong cable

The disk needs to be formatted by the MPC3000 first before it can be "MADE ACTIVE".

Format the disk with the MPC3000 first.

I tried that but it gave me an error... But I got it to work - I don't know why it work all of the sudden... I switched the scsi ID from 6 to 5...

+1 i have the same problems , i read a lot of Rohan posts and i have a HARD DISK FORMAT FAILURE again, (FF51)

but i have one ZIP disq them work fine , after Formating by MPCEDITOR(3.0.39) i lost my data and they don't formating at MPC 3k

have any idea?

How's that gonna work if the MPC3000 can't read PC or MAC formatted disks?

Which Zip do you have?

It doesn't matter what Zip you use. You have to format all Zips with either MPC Editor or with the 3000.

So your telling me that you format MPC3000 Zip Disks with the some Iomega software from there site and it will work and the MPC will read it?

Mine only worked on ID #6 same with my boys 3000 too.
