Hello

I bought an mpc60 in pretty bad shape awhile, i've fixed a couple on the problems with it but now when i actually started sampling with it i found out it's noisey as hell.

The main out generate massive ammounts of white noise, if just turn up the volume knob a little bit it goes "ssssssschhhhh".

Stuff sampled thru the rec in also gets a healthy amount of noise added to it. I just sampled a kickdrum, and i can here somewhere beneath noise.

The individual outs seem fine though.

Anybody got any idea of what the problem could be ? I really want to restore this machine to it's former glory.

If you're handy with tools, you can find the schematic at yahoo mpc60 group and check things out. Stereo outs and sampling input are on the same board. problem is probably somewhere in there. Could be as simple as loose solder spots or something more serious. My 60 used to be noisy, and it was fixed by adjusting the ADC, DAC trim pots.
