disassembling a mpc 3000

Hi guys.
I need to replace the backlight on my mpc3000 -
How do i open it? Can I take out the lcd unit without opening?

I did mine recently and it wasn't that hard. Do a search and you will find posts detailing the step by step. You do need to take it apart, and carefully.
