Yes ...... that is the case.

Tested thoroughly. ( BTW: Testing being WAY more than just annecdotal hooking up to an MPC3000 and seeing if it works )
The config that works.
Vailixi 3.50 OS ( as it has the work around code present to work with certain drive types )
Vailixi 3.50 multi sector transfer mode set to: OFF ( this is the part that makes the PCD-47B work )
Microtech PCD-47B with Firmware version 3.2 (
http://www.midicase.com/downloads/PCD47-m32.zip )
Jumpered to disable all except for the CF slot. ( RTFM that comes with the PCD-47B for more info )
Note ... PCD-47B devices are fickle and tricky to set up for the non tech-type.
They are also slower performers. ( about 9 times slower in worst cases on speed tests ).
Still, speed isn't the issue when you have a reliable storage mechanism and 9 times slower still puts the PCD-47B in a category of fast enough to use.
Shooting from the hip ? Not my style.
Although I understand that some visual examples of the device working may put to rest any doubt you may have.

Where a PCD-47B is concerned.
Ask yourself these questions:
Do you know how to setup, use and trouble shoot the Microtech PCD-47B firmware re-programming tool ?
Do you know how to jumper the drive for programming mode ?
Do you know how to jumper the drive to enable/disable certain slots ?
I ask these questions because when purchasing a PCD-47B it is highly possible that the device will turn up with the incorrect firmware installed and a jumper config that needs adjusting.
So ..... suggestion, if you don't want to futz around with configuring a storage device.
Then hunt down a PCD-25 ... because they are a superior device in many ways. ( purchase of a working PCD-25 will minimise any demand for refund from an online supplier )
