MPC3000LE newbie and MPC60 user in London repair ?

Hey MPC fam.

Just picked up the MPC3000LE and very pleased with it's capabilities, ease of use and most importantly to me, it's sound. Was something that I have thought about for a while but held back as I already have the 60 with the 3.10 OS upgrade which is sync'd to my ASR10.
But as long as I did not have the 3000 I knew to myself that I would just keep on wanting it. Anyway without doubt a good investment in many ways.

Was curious if anyone could point me in the direction of a company in London UK that handles repairs for the MPC60.
The display and backlight needs to be replaced also there is like high pitched tone coming from the display that changes in sound whenever a pad is tapped. Vibration related for sure.

Anyway due to time restraints and wanting to ensure that the repair is done properly and not by such a novice in this area such as myself I would prefer it to have a look at by someone that knows what they are doing.

So if anyone can assist I would appreciate it.

oh so you jumped ship at last! Same here actually, I've started using the 4K I bought ages ago. I've found the basics really easy to do and haven't broken the manual out at all yet! Converting 60 Snds to WAV is a reet pain in the arse though

Yo Av, I have not seen you in ages then as soon as I make a post in here, up you pop.
Yeah man, you know I was talking about getting the 3000 for a good while and just on a whim I jumped on the net to see what was out there and low and behold a gleaming LE was being advertised. So I made the call and the rest as they say is history. Really pleased with it but can't get over how clean it sounds compared to the 60.

So you are rocking the MPC4000 now, cool. I was with Juliano Creator last Saturday shooting a documentary/interview type thing for the forthcoming album and that included a bit of a dig. Afterwards back to his crib where he got wreck and chopped some old soul. Heads were nodding in that room for real. All captured on camera. Anyway as a result from that the joint he was working on will now be used as a skit on the album. The last thing to go on. All that chopping was done on the 4000. He got a damn nice sound out of it.

Be good to check where you are at with your productions. I'll be looking in on your MySpace page for sure.

I've seen a few 3K's for sale in the UK... some have gone quite cheap too!

I'll be interested in what you come up with it. I'll be even more interested in how you get on with transferring 60 snds to it as I had a lot of trouble with 60 samples that were recorded loud with little to no clipping/distortion being played back on the 3K with a really bad TV static sound where the clipping happens Consequently the 3K doesn't get much use as I like...

Just put up a track on MySpace, unmixed just messing really but using this 3K LE is a breeze. Not transferred any sounds yet but hold tight.

If anyone knows of any other good mpc repair shops in London could they let us know. I've got a fault with my 3000.
Also - is there anywhere in London that does mpc customizing work ?
