Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

can anyone help me I am having problems getting my zip drive to be recognized I have tried 2 zip drives 2 cables and both works on my asr but will not be recognized on the mpc can someone help me

scsi id needs changing by the sounds of it. make sure the values match on both the back of the zip drive and in the disk options in the mp. mines set to id5

If these storage devices are confirmed working on other equipment then some additional points to consider are:

1: MPC3000 can not mount ( "make active" ) a storage device until said unit has been formatted by the MPC3000.

Have you tried formatting the connected ZIP disk with the MPC3000 ?

2: The termination fuse ( silkscreen ID F901 ) on your MPC3000 SCSI board may be blown.

This would need to be verified by further internal inspection.
