samples on pads overlapping on my mpc60!!!!

how do i make the sound on a given pad not ovrelap when i press the pad multiple times on the mpc60?

i believe on the mpc 2000xl you go to the overlap option and turn the jog wheel to mono...

i have the stock OS if that matters.

POLY : poly // note off // mono

You can't if your rockin OS 2.12.

fellas, i never saw this option. i have the stock OS version - 2.0. is it possible with this specific version?

To all you cats telling him "easy, change to mono" read his post. He got the stock os which means the mono poly note off function is not available. What you gotta do with the old os is try and play the samples the way you want them sequenced then tune and trim the sample to fit the bpm and the sequence. Youre gonna have to tune and trim end points to sequence a sample like that without the os upgrade . hope this helps.

The new os doesn't give you filter capabilities.

OS 2.12 DOSEN'T HAVE THE "NOTE CUT" FEATURE YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT..YOU GOTTA TRIM YOUR SAMPLES TO CUT MANUALLY..

But if you use its sequencer to trigger an external sampler that supports note on/off information, then you can program the duration of the notes, right?

sounds about right..otherwise, why would the sampler have the note on/ off feature?..Lol..

And do the pads send out note on/off information or do you have to enter the duration values?
