hihat decay MPC60

recently i got my MPC60 upgraded to OS 3.10e. old programs made with OS 2 which have 3 hi-hats assigned to hi-hat pad & hi-hat dcy slider loaded with new OS work just fine. BUT now when i make a new program with new OS and assign hi-hats etc to be varied with decay slider it only plays a little snip from the beginning of one sound and doesnd change at all when moving the slider. please help - i'm most likely doing something wrong... any ideas anyone?

I cant help you directly... My MPC came with 3.10 and I havent really gotten into the hi-hat decay slider yet. I can say the answer you seek is in the manual. I was reading about the that very subject (trying to see how useful it could be) and I can remember them touching on the subject you posted. When you get a chance spend some time with the manual. It talks about the differences between 3.10 and older versions in quite a few places.

seems that it needs and extra step in programming; it's not enough that you assign sounds for the decay slider in a program but you need to activate the slider to DCY too for the pad...

the OS upgrade has a lot of new tricks and stuff but i found the older version much more faster with basic sampling & assigning sounds etc... never satisfied, eh ;)
