A few of my pads, when pressed and released, will trigger another sound close to it. Is this a feature or defect?

Depends. If you went to "Sounds" #1 and have the pad set to simul then it should trigger another pad as a feature. If thats not the case then its a problem.

Don't think that's it because they don't sound simultaneously. Its when I hold down a pad for a second then release it and the other sound plays. The mode is on normal. When I just hit them normally then its fine but I'm concerned that the sensors are going bad. I called vst weeks ago to ask about replacing the backlight, pads and sensors and he said that when the sensors go bad the pads may not play or may trigger other pads or may double trigger. Used cars always need a tune up!!!!!

That could very well be possible. If you are handy with electronics, I would suggest giving the pad sensors a good cleaning and seeing if that fixes the problem b4 deciding to overhaul the thing. You'd be amazed at what a difference that can make.

i haven't tried using all the functions, but perhaps the 'after touch' button has something to do with. check the manual.

Has anyone ever experianced this? Its like , pad 10, 12, 13 and 14 ,something like that. Only when I hold down and release. This don't sound like a function or feature if no one else had it happen. I'm skepticle about opening this machine yet.
