but basically you just need one cable, midi out to midi in of the Emax and you can control it
on the mpc, lower part change the thing to midi the numbers refer to midi channels, the leters to which ever out you have
so 1-A would be midi out one, channel one, 1-B would be midi out two channel one, 2-A would be midi channel 2-midi out one
to my knowledge you'll never need to change the midi channel, each MPC pad has a value hopefully chromatically if you switched it so when you assign a sample a midi number just make sure it'll correspond with the pad
I start with Pad bank B for all my 950 stuff, just throw a midi cable on it and use one of those sample disks to play with it before you learn how to sample and all that jazz yourself...some of those disks have great sounds and will let you fool with the settings on the filters and what not
